COMM 223
Project #5
Final project web site – e-commerce site
Due Date: Monday, May 6
Create a web site that observes the rules of good design and exercises whichever web techniques you feel best support the target audience and good navigational practices.
This will be an imagined e-commerce site. You are not expected to include e-commerce functionality. We are only interested in design, navigation and flow. (Big Hints: Go to an e-commerce site such as LLBean.com and see what they do. If you need images for your site, go to a web site that deals with what you are “selling” and borrow some graphics using the Control-Click technique to “Save this image”.)
Include these elements:
Use your imagination. Wacky and odd text and info is fine, but let the design be “real”.
Each project must have:
No frames! And, you must have a menu include include.
A folder at the root level of your site for this project named Project5.
Nothing in your Project5 folder except files HTML files for this project and an Images folder which contains all the images for this project.
A home page that appears in the initial index.html page and tells what the site is about. This page should be attractive and appropriate to your audience in both color and language.
Navigational links or buttons on each page that allow the viewer to move around your site. Users should always be able to get back to the home page from any page.
The home page must also include a banner at the top that tells the name/purpose of the site.
