Paper-based home page designs

Create, on paper, a sample home page for all three of the following. This can be for a web page or a cell phone app.

• A sea side town
• An online coffin shop
• A band website

Use your imagination to decide "content" issues and focus areas. Consider what you would be looking for if you were the visitor to the site. Be sure to include:

• An identity banner at the top
• A featured item/story
• Menu to other pages, top or left side only
• Color specs. Write in with arrows what colors you'd use or (preferred!) use real colors.
• Specify where you'd use serif and/or sans serif typefaces
• Use a ruler, make it neat!
• Use a separate sheet for each and use a horizontal format, except for phones which are vertical. Your choice.
• Important: Ask a friend or two to review your designs. Ask what they liked and what they didn't like. Include those comments with your project. The comments can be on the sheet or separate in your email to me with your submission.
• Be ready to say who your target audience was and something about who your typical visitor might be.

Be sure to write your name on your projects before handing them in.

How to submit your project during COVID.

The projects are reviewed on Tuesday, but I need them by Tuesday morning so that I can put them in a PowerPoint to show to the class on Tuesday afternoon. You will comment on your design decisions and also what reviewers said during your brief presentation. If you can provide your work in a three page Powerpoint, that would be ideal. Photos of paper inserted into PP is fine.
